Meet Ted<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Edward (Ted) graduated from Villanova University with a degree in Criminal Justice and spent 20 years in law enforcement with the New York City Police Department, retiring as a Lieutenant Special Assignment. During his tenure at the NYPD he worked in patrol and at the Communications Division. He was one of the principle authors of the Public Safety Wireless Advisory Committee Report that defined the radio system needs for public safety for the next 25 years. He has chaired various Federal Communications Commission subcommittees as both a police lieutenant and a consultant.<\/span><\/h6>\n
Since his retirement he has consulted on radio and 911 systems for major public safety agencies including the New York Fire Department, the NYPD, the MTA\/New York City Transit, and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Ted\u2019s experience managing large multi-million dollar programs helps NCAN with relationship management and logistics. His passion for supporting NET patients has led him to meet with senior management at the FDA and the American Cancer Society.<\/span><\/h6>\n
Ted supports NCAN\u2019s fundraising activities, conferences, and events, and he has created the Uncork a Cure for Neuroendocrine Cancer fundraiser at a Long Island winery. His wife Regina, although not a NET patient, is a two-time survivor of cancer providing a unique perspective on cancer patients and their need for support.<\/span><\/h6>\n

Via our meetings, group emails and one on one phone calls we try to keep each other updated. (testing, diet, surgery, chemo, conferences, treatments, etc.) In addition, we provide support, direction and hope as we deal with this cancer together. I am new to the group leader job and am willing to learn. I am working directly with maryann and bob to schedule speakers and topics that will be interesting and supportive. I would also like to hear from you, especially the new members, for suggestions and feedback. I want our meetings to be productive, helpful and of course fun!<\/p>\n
