ncan support groups – carolinas chapter

Meet Tricia
Tricia has worked with NCAN as a volunteer event coordinator & administrative assistant since 2011. She joined the board soon after and is the driving force behind one of NCAN’s most successful public awareness events, the ongoing annual “Strides for Stripes” Zebra walk. Tricia is now vice president of the Charlotte, NC region and is always busy helping neuroendocrine patients, whether through her work or through her bi-weekly blog, NETCANCERAWARENESS.
But all of this is not what makes Tricia a great support group leader. Being a NET patient herself, Tricia brings a unique perspective to the conversation. She understands. She’s compassionate, patient, funny and is always willing to listen. If Tricia doesn’t have the answers you’re looking for she won’t stop until she helps you find them!

ABOUT OUR GROUP
NCAN Chapter Support Group meetings are built on the concept of patients helping patients.
Our meetings are all about getting to know people who understand exactly what you’re going through, and about getting you the most up-to-date information on NET testing, treatment options, and lifestyle tips.
At our September 2018 meeting, we hosted a special guest speaker from Advanced Accelerator Applications. It was a presentation on PRRT and NET Spot (GA 68 Scan) and was full of valuable information with an opportunity for attendees to ask questions afterward. We ended the night with a BBQ at our house, which was the perfect opportunity to meet and mingle!
We hope you decide to JOIN US at an upcoming meeting…we look so forward to meeting you!
